Trou aux Cerfs is situated in the core of Curepipe, there you will locate a dormant volcano encompassed by nature; an immense region of lush forest comprising of indigenous plant species, some giant green pine trees, copious greenery, trees, blossoms and a little lake at the inside. This is one of the well-known natural attractions in Mauritius. This dormant volcanic crater is around 605 meters above ocean level, with a diameter of 350 meters and a profundity of around 100 meters. Strikingly, Trou aux Cerfs is otherwise called ’Murr’s Volcano’. It is believed that the Trou aux Cerfs volcano erupted once and has stayed dormant throughout the previous 700,000 years; specialists believe that there is a potential possibility for it to become dormant once more.

Ganga Talao (also known as Grand Bassin) is a crater lake found in the secluded mountain territory in the district of Savanne, deep in the core of Mauritius. It is around 550 m (1,800 ft) above the ocean level. It is viewed as the most consecrated Hindu spot in Mauritius. There are numerous temples dedicated to the Hindu Gods. There are giant statues, the tallest being 33m (108ft) at this popular sacred spot. Visitors describe the place as humbling, glorious, and breathtaking.

La Rhumerie de Chamarel is one of the rare and special refineries still active to cultivate its own sugarcane. They are carefully chosen and grown solely for the creation of the Chamarel Rums: here lies the primary mystery of its quality. The gathering of the sugar cane is done by hand, without ever burning the crops. The identification of the various crops and their traceability will permit the Master Blender to choose the best parts for the White Rums and the Old Rums.
